The HTC 10 will be available in early May 2016 on most major carriers. Both front and rear cameras have optical image stabilization, and the rear 12MP camera with enlarged pixel sites takes excellent photos and 4K video. The HTC 10 has a 3,000 mAh battery and a Quick Charge 3.0 charger is in the box. It has a high quality 24 bit audio DAC and separate headphone amplifier for excellent wired headphone sound.

The HTC 10 is clad in metal with a wide chamfer on the sides, and its curves feel good in hand. The phone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with HTC Sense UI on the top of the line Snapdragon 820 CPU with Adreno 530 graphics and 4 gigs of RAM. It has 32 gigs of internal storage and a microSD card slot that can extend storage. The phone has a 5.2” QHD Super LCD 5 display clad in Gorilla Glass, and it has enhanced touch response.

The phone has myriad features including IP68 water resistance, both a fingerprint and iris scanner, LTE 4G, WiFi calling, VoLTE, NFC, fast charging over USB-C and fast wireless charging. It has the same excellent cameras as the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge: 12MP rear with 4K video recording and a front 5MP camera.

The Note 7 has a 5.7” Super AMOLED 2560 x 1440 display that supports touch and the included S Pen (Wacom EMR active digitizer) with 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity. The display’s sides are curved and the phone is made of Gorilla Glass 5 and metal. Like recent competing high end Android smartphones, it has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 quad core CPU with Adreno 530 graphics. It has 4 gigs of RAM and 64 gigs of internal storage plus a microSD card slot compatible with cards up to 256 gigs.

Microsoft Surface Pro 4

Lisa Gade reviews the 2015 Surface Pro 4 tablet. The Surface Pro 4 weighs 1.73lbs. and is 0.33 inches thick. It’s cooler and quieter than previous generations thanks to a new cooling design, and it has a large 12.3 inch display. The tablet runs Windows 10 Pro on Intel 6th generation Skylake CPUs, with your choice of Core M3, Core i5 and Core i7 processors with Intel integrated graphics. The Surface Pro 4 is available with 4, 8 or 16 gigs of RAM and 128, 256, 512 gig and 1 TB PCIe SSDs. It has a 2736 x 1824 IPS PixelSense display with a 3:2 aspect ratio. It supports touch and the included N-Trig digital pen with eraser, and the updated digitizer has 1024 levels of pressure sensitivity. Dual band Marvel Avastar WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth, a front 5MP camera that supports Windows Hello facial recognition and a rear 8MP camera are standard on all models. The Surface Pro 4 starts at $899 and the Type Cover 4 is an additional $129 ($159 with fingerprint scanner).

Google latest Nexus line ... Nexus 5X / 6P

Google unveiled the Nexus 6P, a new version of its Nexus 6 smartphone with a slightly smaller 5.7-inch display and a completely new design. The phone is only 7.3mm thick with a WQHD AMOLED display. All-metal body, two front-facing speakers, has a fingerprint sensor on the back. 12.3-megapixel Sony camera and 8-megapixel camera is on the front. USB Type-C for charging. A Snapdragon 810 processor and 3GB of RAM. It also includes a large 3450mAh battery.
Google even offers 90 days of Google Play Music to New subscribers! A wide variety of accessories already available for the Nexus 6P.

Samsung Galaxy Note 5

The Note 5 has a stunning 5.7” QHD 2560 x 1440 Super AMOLED display and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop an Exynos 2.1 GHz octa-core 64 bit CPU. It has a generous 4 GB of RAM, and comes in 32 or 64 GB of internal storage. Dual band WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth, NFC with support for Samsung Pay and GPS. The Note 5 has a rear 16MP camera with OIS and 4K video recording and a front 5MP camera. It’s available on all major carriers and sells for approx. $700 for the 32 GB model and $800 for the 64 GB.
